About HTXTrip.com

Your guide to Greater Houston

What HTXTrip Is

HTXTrip.com is a Houston travel resource I built — a single place to help you plan a trip to (or around) Greater Houston. The site covers the attractions, neighborhoods, restaurants, nightlife, events, and tours that make Space City worth visiting, plus booking tools to help you put a trip together when you're ready.

I focus on what visitors actually care about: real venue names, neighborhoods worth your time, practical tips, and current event coverage. The events section refreshes weekly from live data, and I add new guides on a regular schedule so the information stays fresh.

About Me

Hey — I'm Dan Byers. I've called Greater Houston home for more than 23 years, and I built HTXTrip.com to share the city I love with anyone visiting or thinking about it. From the food halls and BBQ joints I keep coming back to, to the neighborhoods worth wandering on a Saturday afternoon, to the concerts and events that fill our calendar — this is the Houston I want you to see. My honest advice if you're on the fence: just come. You won't regret it.

My Approach to Content

I aim to be useful first. Every guide is anchored in real Houston places — named restaurants, real neighborhoods, actual addresses where it matters. I research and review what goes up, and I update or correct articles as Houston changes (and it changes a lot — new openings, new closings, new neighborhoods rising). If you spot something out of date, please let me know.

Affiliate Disclosure

HTXTrip.com participates in affiliate partnerships with travel companies, including the Expedia Group Affiliate Program (flights, hotels, rental cars) and Viator (tours and activities). When you click through and complete a booking via one of these links, I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This is how I keep the site running.

I recommend places based on what would genuinely make your Houston trip better — not on which affiliate pays best. If you book through HTXTrip, thank you for supporting independent travel content.
